Annual Water/Street Project - Munson and Christian Street

The City of Rehoboth Beach has been replacing the water main and some associated piping on Munson Street between Bayard Avenue and Scarborough Avenue, and on Christian Street repaving and replacing water service lines to meter pits. With completion of the water main work, the city’s contractor is resurfacing that block of Munson Street as well as Christian Street. This work is part of the city’s annual Capital Improvement Plan and is part of the fiscal year 2026 budget.

Key upcoming dates for Munson Street construction:

• Week of November 3, remaining curb and sidewalk work to occur at Munson and Christian.
• Later in week of November 3, remaining blacktop trench patching to occur.
• Week of November 10, milling and overlay to occur, first on Munson, then Christian. Munson should take 2 days total, Christian 3 days.
• Mumford & Miller will be working 5 days - Monday through Friday the remainder of the project.
